I remember seeing one with track ends when they introduced the Saronni colour scheme last year. Buggered if i can find a picture of it now though.
Beautiful these aren't they

You could definitely get the Colnago Master X-Light with track ends this year. I'm not sure if they are doing the same configuration in their 2009 range though. It's probably worth dropping Windwave, the UK importer a line.
Or, if you don't mind a bit of good old fashioned British customer service, you could drop Mike Perry at Maestro a line. He'll get you want you want but you do have to put up with his idiosyncracies as part of the deal.

Another option could be to get in touch with Casati and ask them to build you a Linea Oro with track ends. I'm sure they'd do it as a custom order.

Niiiiiiiiiiice bike jonhings
I looked into getting hold of a Master Pista at the beginning of the year. 'Officially' this frame isn't available to UK/Europe, (Maestro, nor any of his contacts, could get hold of one), that said I didn't look into a custom build mind so... I know Wrench Science in the US sells the Master Pista with carbon forks, I'm sure you could get them to replace it with the Prescia fork.
Colnago/Windwave were selling the Master with track ends in Saronni colours but this was purely with single speed fittings/geometry. I understand Colnago had a certain amount of frames 'knocking around' and Windwave got them to paint them up.
As I said, this was at the beginning of the year so hopefully the situation has now changed for the better!!!
For what it's worth, I've a Master in Saronni colours (with gears) and it is a stunning frame, if you can get hold of one it won't disappoint.

the master x-light cost £300 more this year. they were £999 last year

The pounds has lost about 33% of it's value against the $ and the € in the past few months. That would explain the price rise I think.

So do I undertand this right - I can call Colnago/Windwave in the UK - and there is a fair old chance that they will do me that blue Colnago x-master with track ends? So does this then come with derailler hangers and cable guides - or can I have them removed and all? I'd love to have a clean colnago fixed.

So do you recommend me calling windwave and Maestro and getting the low down then ?

they're available with track ends so it wont be a special order. thought i had a pic of it from last year's bike show, but no, took a pic of the road version...so dunno if it comes with derailleur and cable guides or not.

A nice clean x-master pista would make a fine looking bike wrapped up in C-record pista
I think I will make a few phonecalls at least ask about that really is a beautiful looking frame -

If in the market for a Colnago track frame I'd give briankwan a PM, he got a good deal on his C50 pista from a local HK source.
-
• #39
I know what you mean but then it will just be brianks bike x2 plus I like steel
-
• #40
He said the same source had other Pista frames, Dream etc.
And you can get C50 painted it seems..

Try it!

You would absolutely love a carbon track frame buddha, trust me!
-
• #48
I saw you had something new is that carbon? what does it ride like? C50 painted white and pale blue would be cool - but who paints carbon?
-
• #49
Argos paints carbon but so do Colnago check the massive pic I linked above in post 40

Not sure who paints carbon but if you like going fast (and I know you do) try a carbon frame + nice wheels. To me it rides like the nicest steel never made, best stuff i've ever ridden. I like steel too (hey we both ride bareknuckles + mercians!) but this stuff is on another level.
Who's the guy in the background picture sniffing the saddle? Loon.
