Not sure if this is what fazered was getting at but luc besson was also responsible for the american versions of taxi. And it wasn't exactly hi art film to start with.
I do hate shitty hollywood mutilations of perfectly good films though.
I also need hollywood to keep making shitty action film to keep me in employment.
Maybe one day i'll get some morals (smiley face)
