  • Stop saying buy it! I will!

BUY IT and JOIN ME AND ASM!

  • BUY IT and JOIN ME AND ASM!

Exactly what I was thinking... We could start a gang!

  • yeah!
it would be fun, we could ride in formation and stuff.

  • THIS IS A GIFT

My finger hovered over the buy now button but I just don't have the time and money to do them justice. Seems wrong to buy them just to sell and make some money. I almost want to email them and tell them to relist for more.

  • Pair of dust caps, £30, anyone?

  • Those two classics are lovely... very tempted indeed, gawd only knows how much a courier costs though to collect them :S

  • The handlebars alone are worth nearly £200 each!

Take a train, and a friend, to Sudbury.

  • 1hr by train- £20

  • Horatio, BUY IT, I let you the money if you need

  • bit of a confusing auction though... sold as a pair but it looks like you have to pay 100 per bike as two are listed?

  • i'm tempted, so tempted.
really don't need them, but for me and the gf.

    no its 50 per bike

    who bought them?

  • I hope those bikes go to someone who will look after them as well as they have been looked after up till now.

  • not 50 per bike henry, I tried! :)

    Automatic rejection... i also tried 50 x 2... rejected :S

  • I got one half. Couldn't risk committing to spend £200. Not quite the same bargain at £100 for one. Going for the gents one unsurprisingly. He shall be a beaut! Hope I can afford the restoration to do him justice.

  • Please tell me that someone here bought them.

  • What if the other person who won goes for the mens too? Pistols? :)

  • I have devised a cunning method for resolving the issue. Not normally something I'd aim for but....

    My bid = 20-Nov-08 00:06:38 GMT
    Theirs = 20-Nov-08 00:11:09 GMT

I came first. First come first served. Genius.

However they still have to agree to split them. So maybe not so genius. To be honest though I think they meant £100 for both but if I was them I'd say I meant each.

  • Horatio, BUY IT, I let you the money if you need

I'm going to sleep on it. I may have enough bikes/bike bits that I could sell on ebay to make up for it...

  • I agree, I'm sure they meant £100 for the pair... If you bid first I would argue that, you could get a smashing bargain!!

Good luck either way, lovely find that, well done d-zone :)

  • Yeah what a find! Thank you.

I do feel pretty guilty though. They have been loved and they deserve to be loved some more.

  • 23-1/2 hours a day on eBay does reap the occasional reward.

    Enjoy your bike(s).

    First dibs on the ladies.

  • @TheCrane - because the only people buying lo-pros are time triallists and hipsters. This frame has vertical dropouts so won't attract the hipster market because to convert it to fixed will require either a magic gear (too complex) or an eccentric hub (too uncool).

Time triallists are, even by British cycling standards, notoriously tight so the price is low to tempt them to grudgingly part with their hard earned cash.

well im thinkin about it still, maybe for a roadie. or could maybe even convert the drop outs to track i dont know about it stiil but 70 quid seems to good of an oppurtunity

  • It's a bargain. Please someone buy it!

i'm so tempted by this but i smashed my last lo-pro and i'm broke, and it would require a complete rebuild, haven't any parts that would fit on this.
damn why do i read this tread, it only leads to fustration about my current finances.
