  • Grass track racing on playing fields and recreation grounds. Events are similar to hard track events, but the atmosphere is very relaxed whilst still being very competitive. It a very good work out and getting the right gear is essential.Cyclo Cross tyres would be needed so clearances might an issue.You also would need a BCF license which is under a tenner. I am sure you lot would be able to keep up, there`s also a few novelty events a well like musical hoops which involves alot of skidding. Its good racing and I think many would enjoy it. If you need any info just ask. Most of the grasstrack events are in the eastern, central areas so are easy to get to. Check out the link below it has a list of 2009 events that you could consider. My team organises 2 of the events in Hertforshire which is only a 40min train jouney for Kings Cross.
