  • marc do you work in london?

  • beautiful guitars jammy. i used to "make" telecasters (basically bolting two bits of wood together and doing a bit of soldering). even sold a few. always wanted to try my hand at some real luthier-ing tho. lovely stuff.

to be brutally honest i'm not really all that into bikes per se. i really like riding, but once i've got my bike modded and set up just how i like it then i'll probably switch off paying any attention to bikes and bits until such time as i feel the need for a new bike which may be years. we'll see.

my main thing is music. writing, recording and playing guitar and bass in a couple of bands. i used to be a total gear nerd and get hard over old fender amps and '52 telecasters. but since i've stopped playing live in both bands this year (one broke up and the other is taking forever to make our second album) i've stopped caring so much about muso gear too. I've recently sold a load of amps and guitars leaving a skeleton crew of essentials. when i start playing live again i'll go and get another pro reverb or vibrolux or something but for now i'm happy tinkering with the bike and picking the acoustic on the sofa.

other than the above i'm into swimming (i do 5 and 10k swims whenever i can find them), cooking, drinking, smoking, weatherwatching and the cloud appreciation society, london history, birds, bees, fish and all that, new music, old music, drinking more, smoking more, the philosophy of science, atheism and frisbee and drinking and smoking too much.

that's quite similar to my opinion. I rarely get excited about a bike or bike part, I'm not sure why that is...When my bike is functioning correctly I'm happy.

I also like drinking, smoking (cigarettes) and atheism.

    high five!

  • Nightime, besides of drawing and painting i do that

    Nice.

  • Object do u do much suspension? It fascinates me ever since researching the link between pain and nivana.

  • and

got added to the watch collection

  • i love the honesty of Jos' post!

fuck! you come from my hometown? or you helped design/build the art gallery? or you exhibit there?

btw i have grinded that grey wall about 1,024 times on my bmx. 180'd off it, manualed it, done all sorts of stuff to it. bet you really wanted to know that.

  • Take this

    And that

    And one of these

    In Deep Deep Powder!

  • I like jumping on bandwagons. I like flexing the fuck out of my credit card to buy the 'necessary' paraphenalia to get 'on scene', then I like ebaying the expensive shit I've bought when I move onto the next fad.

I really like pubs with bar skittles tables, though I have rarely played bar skittles.

  • @buddha, ya lucky basket.....nice sub.

  • murtle - now is a good time to buy watches - I haggled the bremont down by 20% - this after buying pounds when the pound was equal to a euro - I think I am just about done with watches - it is getting too expensive & you can only wear them one at a time - I need a new hobby

  • Mazdas

    Pointing at things

  • On eBay at the moment, I'd love to add this to my collection.

none of the above, i just love that building. It's one of the best in britain in recent years in my opinion. Caruso St John were the architects. They do fantastic work.

  • It's too 'futuristic' for my tastes.

My mate interviewed me on the top of that building - nice view of Walsall from up there - for his college multimedia course, and filmed me riding at the skatepark up the road. But by that time I had gone shit at BMX and could hardly do any tricks. It would have been nice to have had footage from when I was at my best, so I could show potential future grandkids what a stuntmaster Grandad was back in his day...

The skatepark that me and Scott Perkins helped to get built after nuff petitions to the council and articles in the press, got knocked down by bastard developers a few years back :( We spent years campaigning to get that park built, but the council would only do something after there was a big uproar about skaters damaging the street furniture in the town centre. There were big articles in the local papers basically condemning skaters and bmxers for grinding the walls on the new multi-million pound fountain outside T*sco, so the timing couldn't have been more perfect for us to deliver the petition to the council and get our response into the papers. About six months later we had our own tiny but really well-built skatepark, it was fucking ace, but we were 19 by then - we would have been way better at BMX if we had had a local park when we were younger instead of having to mission up to Derby Storm (RIP) every weekend...
