beautiful guitars jammy. i used to "make" telecasters (basically bolting two bits of wood together and doing a bit of soldering). even sold a few. always wanted to try my hand at some real luthier-ing tho. lovely stuff.
to be brutally honest i'm not really all that into bikes per se. i really like riding, but once i've got my bike modded and set up just how i like it then i'll probably switch off paying any attention to bikes and bits until such time as i feel the need for a new bike which may be years. we'll see.
my main thing is music. writing, recording and playing guitar and bass in a couple of bands. i used to be a total gear nerd and get hard over old fender amps and '52 telecasters. but since i've stopped playing live in both bands this year (one broke up and the other is taking forever to make our second album) i've stopped caring so much about muso gear too. I've recently sold a load of amps and guitars leaving a skeleton crew of essentials. when i start playing live again i'll go and get another pro reverb or vibrolux or something but for now i'm happy tinkering with the bike and picking the acoustic on the sofa.
other than the above i'm into swimming (i do 5 and 10k swims whenever i can find them), cooking, drinking, smoking, weatherwatching and the cloud appreciation society, london history, birds, bees, fish and all that, new music, old music, drinking more, smoking more, the philosophy of science, atheism and frisbee and drinking and smoking too much.
that's quite similar to my opinion. I rarely get excited about a bike or bike part, I'm not sure why that is...When my bike is functioning correctly I'm happy.
I also like drinking, smoking (cigarettes) and atheism.
