hubjub has them for 120 so I reckon it is decent, as long as new.

Totally good vaule, you would have to pay more than that even if you are buying in Japan at the moment.

eh? I thought iso (a German Standard) was a Campag/Miche/PaulComp (Europe & US) thing? and that jis (Japan Industry Standard) was the taper used by Shimano, Sugino etc?

yes, but proper 'pista' track cranks by SR (suntour), sugino and dura-ace, so typically JIS cranks are iso.

If you look on bikeforums you will find the debate ended with someone getting an email back from Mr. Sugino saying they are ISO.

[INDENT] ISO square taper spindles run longer, and taper down to a smaller end than J.I.S. spindles do. Most European-made square taper cranks and bottom brackets use the ISO dimensions. ISO models include:

• Campagnolo

• Japanese N.J.S. track parts, such as Sugino 75

J.I.S. is the Japanese Industrial Standard, and is generally used on square taper cranks made in Asia. J.I.S. spindles are shorter and blunter, they don't taper down to quite as small a square. J.I.S. models include:

• Shimano
  
• Specialized
  
• Sugino (except N.J.S. track models and some older units.)
