Things like leather tape, canvas bags, metal fenders, stylish bars all give it that "classic feel. Shit, I'd even say that some of my components work better than classic stuff (well, in theory, you know how all my shit breaks all the time.

ha ha yes, old components can be a bit funny (like my NR deraillieur that is sprung the wrong way around so you shift toward you to change down!). Funny how lovely looking brakes somehow don't seem quite so lovely after bombing down a few hills. Especially for people who have just been riding fixed wheel and riding freewheels with two brakes suddenly seem a little out-of-control in comparison.
