If no offers, I picked up exactly that on wiggle. Saddle £25, bars £20, brown bar tape £7.
Good luck. -

Good luck.Cheers KK I found them listed at winstanleybikes after making this post so will probably buy them new. They're my budget alternative to a brooks saddle and bar tape...the tape alone is £30 but seems to be the only brown real leather tape on the market.

The charge saddle is great, got one in the brown to match my kaffenbak colour. Got their matching bar tape too to complete the job and it's a bit plasticy. Go Brooks leather if you can afford on the tape.

Would love to but at £30 that could buy me bars and tape let alone just the tape.

You'll only want to change the tape later on. It's a false economy.
Don't get me wrong, it does the job, it just doesn't feel as nice as other tapes - it's plastic feel bugs me. See if you can feel some on a shop/mates bike somewhere if you can and then make your mind up.

for some (slightly) cheaper alternatives to Brooks, I'm gonna get me some sew-on Elk leather bar tape when my OTP charge plag bar tape fails in the non-too distant future.
-I'm sure someone has already put some of this on their ride, any updates on how it fairs?

I'm in love! That's even more what I was looking for than the brooks tape, cheers Jim.
Of course now all it needs is a sewin pro like me to make a complete arse of it. Can't wait!

That's what girlfriends with Fashion/design degrees are for!

ahhhh yer a lucky man. If you see a bike with lovely new leather bar covers with a strange red splash pattern on them you'll know my stitching didn't go quite according to plan.

the charge tape is diabolical. it's not worth spending money on.

Cheers Spag, I'm going with Jim's suggestion of that leather stitched bar-wrap instead but good to know on the bar tape.
Now where did I put my pipe and slippers...

JJ - cheers. That stiched bar wrap is lush.
(I hate seeing better alternatives to things I've recently bought!!)
You're right - the charge tape just aint as satisfying. -

I have the charge slicer (bullhorn) bars, and some new tape to go on them (charge U-bend? not sure if its the same as they come with) in black
drop me a PM if you're interested

Cheers Mikey Merk but I now have the bars sorted. Still hoping for a saddle though...

Wiggle/Evans etc for the saddle?
Yeah but being the pikey sod that I am I'm still hoping for a cheapie second hand one instead

-1 for brooks tape. Not worth it.

Not worth the cost as so expensive or expense aside just not a quality product?
I'm after the brown leather saddle and bars from a Charge Plug if anyone has spares lying around after replacing the factory provided ones on their Plug.
Thanks
