EAI cog from where?

  • Anyone know where I can get one in 17T?

Just tried to order from mr hubjub and he's mailed me back that he's out of stock, alloy and steel. =(

Alternatively if I went for a Surly one instead would that bugger up my chainline given I'm currently running an 18T steel EAI atm?

  • brixton cycles sometimes have EAI

  • Cavendish cycles do too. £21 I think.

  • Condor do good steel cogs. Not EAI but good anyway.

  • All of the above plus: BLB also stocks EAI.

  • In answer to my own question, switching EAI/surly probably isn't a good idea.

  • All these shop are non-internet, so 1980s.

Can give them a ring tomorrow I suppose, hmm via the phone eh.

  • I have a 17T EAI sprocket thats had about 5 months of use willing to swap for your 18T if its in similar condition? PM me if your interested.

    I did it.

    made fuck all difference, really

that's an old D/B, maybe the surlys have bigger shoulders now

the good condor ones seem to work well in lieu of EAI, I don't really like the surlys, they are overpriced for the quality IME

    hubjub meets your requirements..

  • Cheers motman, tempting but would like to keep the 18T really.

Yeah, but only because Surlys seem wear very, very quickly. I'd consider running one for polo, but nothing else.

No worries. BLB stock EAI if you don't want to wait for internet delivery.

  • Tried BLB, Cavendish and Brixton Cycles.

    None have EAI in 3/32 17T. =(

Oh well, in hindsight it's probably not a good switch to make from 18T in winter anyway.

  • I'm on the look out for a 19T Steel 1/8'' EAI, but am not London-based. I've emailed hubjub, who are out of stock. If anyone spots one in a real life bike shop down there, then please give me a shout, it's very slim pickings up here in weegie-land in comparison.

  • I got a reply from hubjub this morning saying that he'll be re-ordering EAI cogs this weekend and that they should be back in stock in about 10 days.

  • Awesome thanks.
