Not too far from the truth, I went to Roma this summer, almost every advert with a woman in it is soft porn, way worse than that one as well.
Many a Marzocchi poster can be found in an lbs workshop..
I have a set of their forks. They didn't come with the girl though :(

mate its not a bad effort, and its a good concept, i just don't think its a great photo. there are lots of grate photographers out there that make amazing images, that take a lot of talent and skill. I've met you a few times, and I know your a nice bloke, I dont want to shit on your parade.
Correct, I can be a nice bloke. There aint no parade I just find posts of this ilk slightly tiresome. How many fucking times do I have to leave threads because of this faceless nonsense? It went from posting an image of Roark bar ends to a bitchy patronisation of a photo taken on a sub £100 basic digital camera in exchange of green squares.
Like I said if you and/or Mechanical_sandal wanna show me some insider techniques for photography I'd love that (I have never done any study of photography- hell, I don't even own a camera) but wanting to rep someone with the reasoning given below is ever so slightly lame:+1. Would've repped you but it seems i have to spread it about a bit first.
Pic is pretty dull. Good idea just poorly executed....Why are these things never said to my face? sighs

Hi,
The alloy frame is called a Caminargent. Made in France in the '30s. In racing fettle it weighed in at about 6 kilo. It was supplied in a box and you had to assemble it yourself using allen keys (I think). The tubes were hexagonal and the lugs formed the joins. It was very fragile and most of them broke. A Caminargent is one of the scarcest and most collectable of all 'unorthodox frames'.
MEGABUCKS to buy, if you can find one. -

Regardless of how she looks, isn't she married to a douche bag? I have a nagging suspicion that no matter how hot she is, I don't want to go sloppy seconds to her hubby.

I'd quite happily say it to your face if you asked me for a critique of the photo. Which you should well know is basically what you did by posting the pic on the internet.
If you can't stand people saying bad things about you/your photos then don't post them. -

Like i said; its the concept of repping someone for neg comments I cant get my head around. I feel that attitude drives the forum into a not so nice direction. How often do things quickly descend into useless flaming sessions because of this ethic?
I am genuinely interested in the critique of the picture and your knowledge and approaches to a subject I know little of, don't mean you have to be a green square rent boy -

There was a British builder called Speedwell too. They made Ti frames in 'olden days' lovely stuff.

Speedwell! Mr dmczone posted a titanium frame in the Ebay thread suggesting it was the original ti frame. I knew some British firm had made them in the 1970s but couldn't remember the name. It was Speedwell. Thanks Tallsam.
Added: This is the posting I'm referring to;

A lot of the early Ti frames flex like jelly especially the CP (commercially pure) grade as opposed to the 3/2 Ti alloy

Scarlet had a girlish charm in ghost world n stuff, but more recently I think she is 100% butterface - even after all the preening and tatoechopping.
Its not hard to meet good looking women, its what occurs at the meeting which is the difficult bit. Scarlet just slightly above average for in my eyes, but its all a matter of taste right.
