friday night i chased some guy up kingsland road as i thought he was on scott's big link! he passed me on the other side of the road and the size of the rig he was on i was all "shit, that could have been scott's bike... better go see" so despite a fucken heavy/painful bag load i span around, chased the guy down, got a peep and saw it wasn't the big link... turned about and went home... oh well. couldn't not look though, ya know? soz scott, eyes still peeled.
- rep for that big man! Good work.

i saw a similar guy near dalston junction on Saturday but then I looked better and the bike had a normal chain [not the short chainline that scott's bike has] and yellow rims. the bike was really similar at a first glance.

Rasmus spotted my stolen bike (the small gold Dave Russell) outside HSBC on whitechapel road this morning at 11:30 so it's still in the area, I think it may have been bought at brick lane market yesterday if anyone lives East and spots it please slap your lock on it and call me on 07952 696796 I will be there in a flash with my buddies hammer and hacksaw.

Call the police do not try to take it back.
I can't stress this enough.

Yup, very true, i learnt that lesson through a trip to the station in the back of a van.
Got the bike back though, eventually.. -

What if you can prove ownership with, say, earlier photos or something? You still get arrested?
-
• #8412
I bet you're old enough to remember when CGL were in shelton st before it burnt down?
Remember? Who do you think started the fire?
-
• #8413
well it worked, didn't it?
you don't have to run up 3 flights of stairs any more

Spotted lots of wet leaves on the roads this morning - very slow and steady journey to work.
Also Hael yesterday on his lovely Low Pro by Shepherd's Bush green as I was escaping the hell that is Westfield (don't do it).
I also saw Hael at that very spot (more people should have their forum names on their top tubes).. i'd just rolled out of a pub and spent a few idle minutes at the roadside shouting "slack chain" at people and laughing to myself.

It's always been burning. Since the world's been turning. Which is ages.

Fuck getting arrested. If I bought a bike and saw someone cutting my lock off I would dish out a serious beating and try to remove their spleen by kicking it out.

Im not asking anyone to cut the lock off - simply to slap one on and call me - I have pictures, receipts, a crime reference number, mobile phone numbers of the local PSCO's who I'm in contact with and I'm 6'2" and 95 kilos, and can handle myself quite well in a scuffle, so no worries.

I still think that was Billy Joel, despite his denial.

Billy Joel was an innocent man

If someone who bought my stolen bike even looked at me funny I'd kick their fucking face off and dance on the squishy remains left inside their putrid fucking head.
If it's my bike it's MY fucking bike and no thieving cunt nor stolen goods buying cunt is gonna tell me otherwise without spilling some blood (or have a nice cuppa and talking to).

Lo pro day today - pink frame with a yellow saddle and snow flake laced front wheel, Holborn at lunchtime, then a brakeless orange frame, Kingsway/Aldwych, 6.15pm. The orange one looked a nice and tidy.

Spotted: some fish in a barrel.
Would have been ironic had you managed to shoot one.

I'm a vegetarian. I tried hugging one but it didn't go well.
East Dulwich was hipsterville yesterday - Brett's purple think locked up outside Scommerfield, some bloke riding up and down Lordship Lane on his brand new purple Charge desperate to be looked at, plus a couple of Americans and their nicer bikes outside the Lord Palmerston. Oh and a cracking fire engine red geared and sensibly mud-guarded Holdsworth
