NJS Keirin Bottom Bracket BIN £60
Can I confirm that these indeed will be shit for the road due to not being well protected from rain and muck and such?
I run a R9400 on the road with zero problems, mind you I do clean my bike every now and again.

I can confirm that you will ride around smugly with only you knowing that the BB has those 3 letters stamped on it. If you want quality buy a phil wood. If you're considering this, buy shimano or even miche. But yes, you are correct. In the same way as duraace hubs are not sealed.
Oh yeah, I also run Dura Ace hubs and they have been excellent and problem free.
P.S I didn't realise that the Hatta R9400 was NJS approved !!! I feel very very powerful now, I am going to strip the bike down, dismantle the BB and then take a picture of myself naked posing next to my greased up NJS BB.

It wouldn't be the first time we've seen you photographed naked and greased..
I believe you can add seals (does seal being attacked by shark noises) to the DA track hubs. They might reduce the need to repack the hubs so often?

http://www.gumtree.com/london/78/30806278.htmlAs dodgey as all hell. 'Frame slightly damaged' - ie damaged when they stole it.

This has already been posted in Stolen Bikes, but yes, clearly stolen.
-
• #7319
clearly stolen, probably damaged while so doing, and it's an orLowski by the way. Frame alone worth £350 (undamaged!)

A snip, at £900
I know what the bike is worth
Clearly not
Wheel Size: 26 inches = wrong !
*White Velocity Rims
White Japanese Import Tyres
White Japanese Imported Chain
Toshi Straps and Toe Clips
Coppi Front V Brake
Fi'zi:k White Handle Grips
Custom Cut Chrome Riser Barsthe parts above cost £600.*
£600 ! I doubt that lot cost him more than £300.
And this bit made me a little bit queezy:
*Cycle messengers have traditionally adopted track bikes and modified road bikes for their daily dashes across cities delivery parcels and letters, but low prices and street-cred has been followed by an increase in young urban twentysomethings adopting fixed as a means of transport.
But it's the reaction by niche and large bike brands that has brought the concept of fixed wheel bikes meaning it's no longer necessary to get one's fingers dirty with repurposing track and old race frames.*

"Fixed wheel riding has exploded in the UK and the daily commute is seeing more and more cyclists ditching gears in favour of the fixed wheel bike option. Yeah.. google it and look where it comes from..

I just bid 5.
You think he'll answer questions publicly, I'm quite keen to resurrect the practice of E.Bay list raids, this seems like a good mark.
Thanksyous
Got a UN54 atm, keep thinking I need to upgrade.
