I had hoped that was the case, not because I feel strongly one way or the other, but I like doing very minimal moderator work and when I get a bunch of reported posts it's nice to throw it back at you all and ask you to think about it and set your own standards.

What not to report: Someone who just gets your goat... put the guy on ignore.
What to report: porn, spammers and people who are obviously trolls (that motorbike forum invasion was an example of how to spot a troll).

isn't this the disturbed individual who aired his laundry about his dumping his girlfriend?

if so... clearly this person is void of any integrity and thrives on attention to validate his obviously sad & miserable existence and takes pleasure in the commotion he creates..however, unsure if that makes him a troll? a nasty piece of work for sure...a person lacked in morale fiber- absolutely.

He was certainly trolling, but I personally didn't mind and wouldn't have reported him. Whether someone who trolls is a troll seems mildly irrelevant ...

No-one has actually said he is a troll.

I said 'don't feed the troll', just another way of saying 'ignore him and he'll go away/stop', which lots of others have already said.

Usually people do it for a little bit and then stop, which is why banning trolls would often be an over-reaction, as here.

Sorry if throwing the word 'troll' in wasn't very helpful. I think the light moderation is more fun, by the way.
