The kid finally asked for a fixed gear bike. Not sure why he didn't want one earlier in the year.
Anyway, over the last few weeks we got new wheels from a Langster and an affordable, quality 531 frame. The rest of the parts were spare around the house.
If mine, I'd finish with toeclips, brakes and a new chain and be happy, but he's 14 and already talking tri-spoke with coloured tires and chainrings.
Before I put my foot down, what can easily and cheaply transform this into something special for a teenager?
