Ok, her comments weren't great, but (in this case) the cyclist sounds to have swerved in front of the lorry while ridding with headphones. Perhaps her comments of lesson learnt was simply a warning to other cyclists not to do stupid things. I doubt she ment it malisiously...
I know I for one have nearly been hit on innumerable occasions, and about half of those were my own stupid fault. Indeed, I seriously doubt if any sane person (and I'm not for a moment suggesting that all road users are sane) would deliberately try to hit someone. It's just down to poor judgment.
However, I do take the point that the comments COULD be construed by some to support the assertion that bikes are simply a nuisance on the road, but I doubt her comments have swayed anyone's opinion....
