  • Deep Vs are so last year. Even in Swindon.

Last year they may be but........ last me they will so i'll take the advice of provenrad. Once again thanks.

Oh check out my project if anyone gets chance. updating it as much as possible.

lame name but i'd had some beers and it sounded great at the time.

  • I was just goofing around unklesouth - Deep Vs build into a nice solid wheel.

I didn't take you seriously mate, they are a staple it seems. although considering hsons rims now.

As for the colour haven't decided having trouble with that was going to go a bronze colour with white rims and chrome and brown leather. Most of my other builds have been pretty basic black frame simple colours.

This one is going to be my pride and joy so want to get it right. Any ideas where i can get a rear aerospoke in white and a hsons rim in white for the front?

Can't answer your questions... but presume from your name you're a James Lavelle fan?!

  • You dont necessarily need a 126mm hub, you could use a modern 120mm hub and squeeze it (not really recommended) or get some spacers or something.

    Understood.

So if I got standard wheels, say the 120mm On-One wheels (as come on the Pompino) then I could add spacers to make this 126mm wide?

My other options being scrounge around for 126mm Hubs or wheels or get some built to order... I guess 120mm + spacers could be the cheaper option?

Before i pm'ed him i looked at his profile and found someone else who had asked the same question, He only sells pine fresh so i didn't go for it.

  • Pine Fresh is the only thing I roll.. hit it up!!

  • As I am only an infrequent user of this forum, I am unable to post this as a full thread - no mention seem to have been made of 'cyclemode' the Japanese bike show that is happening this weekend. Is anyone from the forum going to this? I'd be really interested to meet any other fixed/single riders at the makuhari messe show on sunday this week 9/11/08.

if anyone is going drop me an e-mail. Otherwise I'm planning on taking loads of pics of the events and parts to share on here.....

  • There's a few peeps on here from or in Japan.. and we all love to see NJS (New Japanese Shit) so yeah, please do post your pics.

  • I've just got back from cyclemode - which was awesome, I feel like I might have overdosed on all of the insanely cool things that were on display, and I have taken literally dozens of pics of all sorts of things that I have never seen in the Uk. I am loathed to post them in the bike porn thread as not all of it is porn, and also I am disinclined to bombard an established thread as a newbie.

once I have posted 5 times will i be granted full ability to start threads automatically? Or will I have to wait a while?

  • It's automatic. You'll notice by the message at the top of the screen vanishing.
