88 - rims x 2
50 - spokes (nipples should come with if you get em from a good store) - you checked that madison can supply correct spoke length??? there are big gaps in their stock list...
40 - hubs (wow - where from???) inc lockring
2 - pair of specialized rim tape. bit cheaper than velox if you get for 1.50...
8 - inner tubes x 2
40 - tyres - schwalbe luganos??? i'd be tempted to spend a bit more on a good wheelset though
12 - shimano da sprocket - factor more if you want more than 16t. dont be tight on sprocket cost
(15 - shimano mx freewheel if you cant get one for free)
labour - i'd factor 15/20 per wheel. the quality of the build is kinda important. ask your friends, search this forum etc...
i guess you'd be looking at about 270...
as a much cheaper alternative the one on track wheels are gonna be your basic daily use trackwheelset.
if youre on a budget and want durable wheels then consider them...
i've never seen any issues with these with these wheels - i saw a few come into harrys to get the normal true+tension=beer after a couple of months of regular use and the bearings hold up better than comparative formula/sys-ex hubs. no. they are NOT from the same factory. and definately better than surly... then again, i've seen hubs shagged after a couple of months in rainy mcr...
also, what kind of riding do you do? i've chatted with a few folk around the world about the h+son (i personally think they look great) and gotten the general feedback that they'll be stiff (ie not the most comfortable on the road) but not recommended for whacking up and down curbs...
i'd break it down to a form over function debate...
