Mooks..you flatter me...and i do take your comments in the spirit they were intended.....And you are mostly correct....but i would call it aesthetics.....the frame in question has vertical drop outs and is Italian which according to Kiwi Cycles has a higher bottom bracket than its English counterparts.....So i would check first. The only alternative is an Eno eccentric hub...which is more costly than track ends....hence not just cosmetic. My frame [a Coppi] has very tight clearances..so will an Eno Eccentric do the job or lose some or all of is range of adjustment...this is a guess....anybody has a definitive comment on the ENO eccentric hub...i know this changes the slant of this thread but the aim...turning the Coppi into a happy fixie...Cheers
