You have to judge each race on its merits or mistakes. No one ever just wins wins wins because if you dominate one grade you go up and so on. So, you will eventually find you're in a group with riders as fast (or smarter) than you. So, you are now losing (a lot) and races becomes more about tuning your efforts or your judgement ("should I go with this break?", "should I attack now or in another lap?", "which side is the wind coming from and where will the bunch be worse off?" etc) until it all pays off, possibly a long way in the future with that well-executed win.
Or you could just HTFU and play a real man's sport like table tennis.
