I wonder (and fear) the outcome that mcain somehow ends up winning despite clear popularity of Obama.

Would people accept it and let it pass? Really? Would not only the 'thinking' USA and the World be OK with Palin being VP, with the worlds greatest nuclear arsenal so close to her fingertips? Im dumbfounded at that concept, are we really that close to that happening?

The differences may seem marginal but they are actually pretty large if you are poor in America. Obama may be the lesser of two evils but that's still a difference. And try asking Iraqis if the election of George W Bush made a difference.

Largely similar stances on most things, the election has seen some horse trading on the usual suspects (mixed metaphors me !?) - tax - tax - foreign policy and tax. Much like the UK, party politics in American has, over time, become homogenised.

But I must say, Palin is an absolute cunt.
