Rapha, nice but a bit pricey?

just got back from a mission filled day, decided to give the sample sale another go at 10am this morning on my way to el guapo, and spent an obscene amount of money as this season I will mostly be wearing rapha.
Much less frenetic, space to browse, poke stuff, try bits on so you can get your head around Rapha's sizing. Got some good stuff, and I'm convinced from the amount of people they had there yesterday and today that if they took some money of their attires RRP, they would sell a shit load more, as it is, forumengers will be making snarky comments about price, whilst wearing their sale products.
If you haven't been and can drag yourself through the rain, I'm pretty sure they'll be some good stuff still there...

Showed up at around 6:20 and got out by 7:15, queue downstairs was a bummer. Biggest pain of the night was getting my bike nicked from the side street alongside Condor....Awesome! Saved on clothes, but nothing to ride on now... Spoke to the police who said they're having around 30-40 bikes nicked EVERY DAY

I saw this theft!!! At least i think it was the same one. Was it the street left and left again out of Condor? Basically, I had just locked mine up on the street behind Condor, and as I was walking around I saw a cable lock on the floor and some kid ride off on what looked like a black road bike. It was one of a bunch locked to some scaffold, right?. I hung around for a bit waiting for you cos I knew you were there for the sale, but only for 20 mins or so. Didn't know what to do, was going to leave a note but had no pen/paper. Anyway, it probably won't help but the kid looked about 15 with wearing all grey. And also, don't lock your bike with only a thin cable lock, i think it took him only a few seconds to get the bike! But by the time I realized what he was doing, he'd fucked off.

I thought I saw you in there, Corny. I mumbled 'gillets?' to Rene, got the negative, and went up the back to try on the offerings of other manufacturers.

Thanks to Wiggle and a handful of discounts, I'm getting the Gore gillet/vest that was top of my list anyway, for a decent price.

So successful mission here too... and a retrospective hello/spotted :)

I was interested in gilets but was so blinded by the rapha wear, didn't even think about checking out upstairs to see if there were any I liked the look of/could afford..
