Bad cycling week

Last time I went to Canterbury I must say I was struck by the number of mixed race couples there. It must be one of the most integrated places I have ever been, certainly the most integrated small place.

So very true, hoards of french kids used to terrorise the streets of Canterbury with stink bombs, silly string and walking 12 abreast down the high street...until they banned the sale of stink bombs and silly string.

To escape this I moved to Camberwell where the kids terrorise the streets.

(It's not that bad really.)

when i was at canterbury art college i used to have to walk down the main pedestrian street to the train station every day. i had a heavy portfolio case to carry that had brass corners.
i found it best to walk in a straight line and look straight ahead, took out a fair few french students this way either with a smack in the shins from the case or an 'accidental' shoulder barge.
harsh but at the time i couldn't see why i should walk twice as far because they want to block the road/pavement.

Your right, am being a bit of a tart bout the shoes and saddle (not even a week old), just annoying considering that all the damaged kit is so new. But the jacket is a bit fucked and has left me rather miffed, as one arm is no now longer waterproof.
