SOS - Bike Thieves Suck!

Nowt wrong with being gutted and knee-jerking your way through 6 posts of desperation. Not nice having your bike nicked like.

It's the 'SOS' bit that fucks me off like. "Save our souls" is wrongly used too many times!

Had I a bike nicked off me, distraught as I was I would never spam all over other peoples threads callously prefixing my post "poor you, oh but anyway MY bike was stolen too"

I appreciate the need to get the word out and hopefully have the bike returned but rude is rude.

A post with pictures in the Stolen Bike thread and starting their own thread specifically about their bike would have been sufficient.

Good luck to them, eyes peeled etc.

Agree with Aidan and BRM on this one. I think the "poor you" in previous posts sounds genuine rather than sarcastic, and she seems like someone who is genuinely just distressed to have lost her bike - nothing wrong with that.

GA2G, I think Aidan was just checking she was a female, because he had used she/her in his post, rather than making assumptions about the liklihood of having your bike nicked based on gender.

The thing is here - she been posting the same stuff in a handful of topic and pretty much walk away hoping for the best, especially when she could answer some of our question in attempt to find out why it got stolen and where to check for stolen bike.

that's the thing, doubt she'd come back to read this, she just simply post her stolen bike, included the picture and the email address so whoever found/brought her bike can email her.

did a search;
found this thread;
made a note of how the bike looked to keep an eye out;
expressed sympathy; and then
posted that their own bike was also nicked with pic.

Would the OP be keeping his/her/their eyes open for it?
