Interesting. I guess now Forums are more commonplace, some of us forum newbies might just have experienced other forums, and so take a different approach to the clique-unwelcome response to a first post.
All these guys/gals want to do is put the newcomer in his place. Good effort guys/gals - I'd give it an 8/10. Nice to meet you already, so... where do I need to stand?
Maybe I can start a newbie conga line?
