Great for clubbing though...once the party gets going get them going on intermittent, red and white flashing all over the place, make sure you time them so they're in sequence ;) That's where the party's at

I've got a frog and it'll get you seen alright, but won't help you see.

I got frog knogs because they're easy to take off and carry around. My eyes are still pretty young and I eat plenty of carrots so once my eyes adjust I can see in the dark.

Any one got any lights on their pedals. Saw someone with flashy trainers on the other day riding a full sus. weapon, caught my attention!

Not long before my ride home requires some lights, I generally take an unlit toepath.. I'm going to need something more beefy than this right?

Just took delivery of a set of Ay-Up lights all the way from Australia (Glouster depot) and boy are these babies small and bright. Like a little kid during an eclipse I couldn't help but have a look at the light and I think I'm blind. Lots of pretty colours to choose from for all you hipsters out there, bright pink to stealth black anodised hotness. Will bring them along to the Bridges Ride and pretend to be a motorbike.

I have the Cateyes - Great set of lights. I just hate the way the fixing bracket is designed. Takes me a bloody age to unscrew the bloody thing off when I need to.

like the BLT Ozone 21ne, but takes 3 AAA's.

Used last winter, almost good enough to see along unlit paths, but not quite good enough to pick out small obstacles until it's too late. Nice bright light for being seen when riding roads though.

How far would you get with one of these flashing on your back?

One of the guys at work is a wheelchair user and has blue flashing LEDs on his valve caps.
He got pulled by a copper who saw them flashing in the back of his car...

If so the Cat Eye HL - EL135 is certainly the brightest around and at only £20 it's not to bad on the wallet. They take AA's so re charge as and when you like.

Plant 2 of the buggers on your bar and you'll have air traffic control knockin on you're door.

Don't know about the front light jimjams but the back light is a great light for the money. It's very, very bright.

I just got a cat eye El 530 and one of the 3 LED smart (with 1/2 watt red) for £48 from wiggle.

Much more confident riding with this setup in traffic, at least it gives you the confidence that the other road users have half a chance of seeing you.

Just ordered some bright orange gloves.

Something in my head said that if indicators are orange, then it would clever for my gloves to be. Probably just my OCD though.

I suppose the price is relative. If you want a light that will make you visible to other traffic while rifding in the city you can get away with a cheap flashing unit, but if you want a light that is bright enough to let you ride on a dark road or trail AND last more than a few minutes without weighing a ton then the price is really very reasonable.
