  • it's not actually supposed to hurt much at all,
the real problem is tryin to maintain an erection while getting it done.

Whys that? Some people cum to quikly?

Was it done with a gun or by hand with a pin? I've got one on my finger which was done freehand by using the old tying a pin to a chopstick method and using like a pencil. Hurt like fuck cos they have to prick the skin first to draw the blood then go over it again with ink to fill it in!

  • that's just wrong!

  • um no I'm talking proper hygienic tattoos here not prison tattoos.

Mine was proper hygenic professional, just a different method*. For small, delicate, fine line work some tattooists like to use other methods; ie, not with a gun.
So, was the cock tatto done with a gun or with a pin/handheld/freehand?

    • By Nicole Lowe at Into You, also on London Ink
  • I know they do.
It was done by a gun.
There are better examples but pics are not displayed

  • There is no "artistry" involved in printing a few block characters out on a PC, stenciling them and keeping within the lines. I really wasn't dissing you when I said any street shop (walk-in shops in other words) will be able to do an awesome job on it, that's what they do day in day out. Obviously check out the portfolios first and see the quality of the work.

Calm down, all I'm saying is that it's frustrating for artists to not actually use their ability to draw and do something custom which may have influenced his decision to turn it down. Luckily the GF is in a position to turn work like that down as she prefers to specialise in big custom pieces, no high horse at all. She has worked fucking hard to get where she is by drawing for hours and hours every day. You'll find a lot of tattooists do exactly the same and sometimes it can be frustrating to have this big nice portfolio that has taken YEARS to amass and then have someone flip through it and then ask for a Kanji.

Oh and one piece of advice, don't ever EVER get tattooed on the ribs. It fucking kills. :)

ha, got my first tattoo recently down the RHS of my ribcage, didn't hurt as much as i expected, although it was fairly intense over the bones. been told it's one of the most painful areas so it should be easy steet for the rest of the ones i want.....

  • hey scrapper.. any chance you can jog his memory for me.

  • ditto.

Awesome tattooist (though all my hand work was done by Adam Sage at Temple Tatu)
  • Where is he going to do the tattoos again?

if you want to travel out of a studio, if you don't in my rather fancy house.
all equipment is obviously sterilized etc.

You were the one that got your hands done? they looked amazing

  • Nikole Rules. Just trying to get an appointment on the six month waiting list! Should have finished it when I started five years back.

I got a tattoo off Simon last month and it fucking rules. The guy is super quick, the colours have stayed in awesome and he drew me up something better than I had been visualising it. Just make sure you ask for something that will suit his style - no point in getting a tattooist to do something that isn't their speciality.

Going to get another one off him this month I reckon.

  • what's all this "gun" talk.

    it's a machine, people, not a gun.

  • Awesome tattooist (though all my hand work was done by Adam Sage at Temple Tatu)

Wow awesome, i used to live with Adam in brighton when he first started but never got anything at the time, hopefully getting my first piece by him next week now, cant wait!! What has he done on you?

  • cause we wanted to sound tough talking about our machine guns

Two five hour sittings. Worth it though. Enjoy, it's a beautiful experience.

  • This one was on that site in CPH. It almost made me smile on first viewing. I'm pretty sure it would be less amusing on the 100th view... It is fairly cycle specific.

Oh, and while the inked of the capital are here, can anyone recommend an artist that does good traditional stuff? daggers, hearts, you know the sort of stuff, sailor jerry etc.

    B.

My crystal ball tells me that this person will be receiving a cover-up soon.

  • Whats the best way to get an idea of price? Does he have an email address that I can send an image that I've been working on to find out whether it's do-able?
