Great, now people can exploit cows in a pointless shade of white. Great work Brooks, give your mom a call, she'd be proud.

I just searched for prices of Brooks... have they gone right up recently or what?! £75 for a team pro? £200 for a swallow? Feck!

Object I love that you hate Brooks.

The stussy endorsement is bullshit, but the saddle looks nice.
They'll probably be ridiculously expensive though, and the most hyped HHSB accessory ever. -

did nobody tell you? stussy is (the epitome of) cool again thanks to the mystery that is eighties revival.
i wondered idly if this might be the case, when i saw those stickers on Pistantor's Bianchi.
shudder. -

i did a work placement with ben wilson a year ago, i think it took them 2 years to talk brooks into making another white saddle, i know brooks were being very protective over what could and couldn't be done to the saddle e.g. no other logos were allowed to be stamped into the saddle or even added to the packaging hence the plastic sleve.
-

but essentially they sold out in the end, right? so utterly lame.
On a side note, should i or shouldn't i butcher my B17?

I can respect Brooks for those decisions only if they stuck by them. What's the point of doing a collaboration project if you don't let the other partner apply their creativity to it?
The idea (albeit stretched these days) is that both parties working together can create something that one couldn't on their own. Making a white version of a standard saddle does not do this in my opinion.
Brooks or Stussy, or both, should have walked away from this, rather than bringing out this weak attempt at a collab.
It's a nice saddle. When I first saw it I really liked it. But the more I see it, and the more I read about it the more it drives me away. 120 pieces only means it's gonna be reseller hype on ebay anyway.
Right, off to put my soapbox away and discuss why 3 is better than 2...

it's kinda cheap isn't it? or ask someone who can butcher brooks nicely to do it for you.
