I've used this supplier before: http://www.enduroforkseals.com/index.html
They were good.
The bearings are size 6801, and the letters refer to the seal types.
Ceramic is harder than steel, so having steel races means that eventually you'll wear the races before the bearings. So the very best is to have both the races and bearings ceramic, however it's almost needlessly expensive, hybrids (ceramic balls, steel races) are a significant improvement over all steel bearings. And it's reasonably unlikely that parts will ever get to the point of being fully worn before being replaced.

Thanks, Dave just what I needed. The other sites I tested were far less cycle specific. I ordered 2 x 6901's and paid $60 to include postage and insurance through Paypal. All ceramic are about $129, on another site.

I need new bearings in my 2004 wheels. There is a plastic vertical ntegrated cover that has disintegrated into a million pieces. As it is some work to dismantle them i want to replace them with ceramic. They are approx 12mm x 7mm and are numbered '6801 UL'.
Can anyone recommend a supplier. A quick trawl on Google elicits a huge price variation from £15-£95!
