  • Hi all, I have a medium sized Charge Plug for sale.
Its in mint condition and only been used for the od commute.
I've built some wheels for it with pink velocity rims (non machined rear, machined front) with a radial spoke setup on the fornt and semi radial rear (non drive side). The hubs are formulas with cartridge bearings.
Any q's phone/text me on 07736 279426. If I don't answer leve a message or text me and I'll phone you back.
    Regards
    Gavin

I also have a riser bar+stem with some brown leather grips to go with it.

    £415 inc the extra bars.

  • Does the rear wheel have a dish on it?

  • Err if do you mean does the rim sit in the correct position then yes? Both drive and non drive spokes are angled inwards.

  • shame on anyone who buys a plug with two pink deep vs. shame, shame, and thrice I say shame.

  • do you know how annoying and unnecessary that is when you're trying to sell something?
    douche

  • If I'm a douche, the you're a turd sandwich.

  • Gentle bit of mikeymerk(sic) taking is to be expected here. It also keeps the post on page one, which surely helps sales? If people don't like it there's always ebay!

    @OP
Will you spend some of the cash you make on the sale, on one of these?

  • If I'm a douche, the you're a turd sandwich.

    don't be a dick.

  • don't be a dick.

It's a south park reference, the episode where the election is between a giant douche and a turd sandwich. Cunt. :)

  • And what might I ask is wrong with pink rims. . . .

Sorry aboot the spelling, I was typing in a hurry which, with my fat fingers means striking wrong or too many keys!

  • is the rear hub single-sided then? I can't really tell from the picture

  • No its not but it only has the fixed gear on it at the moment.

A freewheel on the other side would mean repoking that side too.

Surely jumping off a very, very tall building would be much, much simpler...

This is coming from our local curious pipe smoker... Pinch. Of. Salt.

is it double fixed, or flip-flop?

  • Fat fingers strike again. Anyone have a spare dialing wand?

It be a flip flop hub. Yaaar.

  • Arse, just saw the prefix request.

Would a delightful admin chap of chappette be able to fix that for me pwease?

i'm sorry, but you are stupid if you laced a flip-flop hub with radial on one side!
    and £450 is a joke!

Firstly its £415 not £450 and secondly I'd rather have built it with a flip flop so that it has the ability to be changed later on if one should so wish. It isn't affected as it is but has options later on if the owner should change there mind.

I even found a dt spoke which I used on the radial side of the rear wheel which has a long enough thread to be used radially or normally.

  • yeah, but the convenience of merely 'flip-flopping' your wheel to make a single-speed is lessened somewhat if you have to rebuild the wheel, no?

  • Maybe, I only ever wanted it as a fixed but at least it could be changed which is better than not being able to no?

  • fair enough. I actually think the bike is really nice! is that grey or dark blue? either way the pink looks great with it.

  • Is this a thread on selling a bike, or the right and wrongs of lacing up a flip flop hub? Seems like we are all more interested in slagging off other peoples rides these days than actually riding our own! Monday mornings ehh!?

I dont think the wheels go with the bike, and will probably put some off.

If i were you i would put the standard wheels back on, you would easily get 350 on eBay for a M plug in last years colourway which seems to be a lot more popular than this years, and sell the Wheels seperately for whatever you think reasonable.

I agree with vinylvillain. That's probably the best way to sell it and you should get more money. That's if you still have the original wheels. I sure it will sell fine on ebay with the pink V's anyway. I'm newly registered to lfgss but have been checking it over the years and people are slagging off each others rides far too often recently. Especially bad when someone is trying to sell something, i'ts just f***ing rude. Fine to slag off if its in a gallery or put up for opinion, but in classifieds???????? Not everyone has the same taste or can afford to be a purist.

  • you're selling on an open uncensored forum. you want a sale, use ebay!

if the hub was single sided, the radial is fine. but what happens if a hipster buys the bike and wants to run fixed, the will spin the wheel around put on a cog, then kill themselves dead under a bus!! point is, you just don't lace a flip-flop hub radial on one side.
