usually towards the front of the building.
hallways (can be high up ) under stairs and in cupboards are common places.
In your flat, all the CCUs might be in the main entrance hallway.

i'm loath to continue this lame lame thread but i still can't find them. mains fuse is in the entrance hallway but the breakers for lights etc are not. i've checked all the cupboards, wardrobes and possible crannies. twice. flat is managed by a lettings agent and they're closed today. hmm. buys candles.

Hmm, that's where you'd expect it. You might not have flippy-switch breakers if you're looking for those though - it could just be wired / cartridge fuses like these: , possibly behind a flip or screw-off panel, but then you'd need the right fuse wire or cartridge fuse depending on what type it is anyway.

seeing as his lights went when the bulb blew, I'd say it's more likely to be modern MCBs as they are designed to trip like that. But maybe not..
I say he isn't looking hard enough!

just got home and the kitchen light went ker-pop. (burning things fell prettily from the ceiling) i'm sitting here in the dark. with socket power (mains is still on) and a candle. it's not in the hall and i've checked all the cupboards. pissed and confused.
someone here must have blown the lights at flat 3, 29 mowbray road, kilburn?
