  • No, of course not! But my point was that the only form of carbon you could powdercoat is graphite because I thought that that is the only form of carbon that conducts electricity.

    However, I was wrong, a quick google search revealed that carbon fibre does actually conduct electricity quite well. Whether an actual frame would conduct well, with all that resin coating it and mixed into it, is another matter.

    Other forms of carbon are conductive just not greatly.

    But, Carbon composites are usually made with a mix of resin to hold it together, so its only as conductive as the resin.

    Furthermore Carbon Composite products are commonly cured at room temperature I believe, so shoving it in a powder coaters oven would probably complelety melt the structure, although Im just going on assumptions.
