  • For the downtube bosses (assuming you don't want to chop, which I dig), the neatest solution I can came up with was a pair of Campag Record cable stop adjusters (like you'd use with Ergo shifters) step 1 is remove the adjuster screws and your left with a fairly neat polished alloy dimple (see 'ere):

    Sorry, this is the closest pic I have. Oh, and fit them 'back to front' so the adjusters if fitted would be facing backwards - they look neater like that. If you stop here, you can always use them if you decide to fit gears agin, but...
    Step 2, when I get time, is to take a file to the shiny pimples (off the frame of course) and remove the slight swelling where the adjusters used to screw in making them even neater...
    For the rear derailleur hanger, go to your local supplier of quality fastners and find a nice short'n'shiny dome or pan head screw with a head big enough not to go thru, and the slimmest nut they have, cut the thread so none protrudes thru the nut when fitted, and loctite it up so you don't lose it after all that work. Course, never had time to do it meself, but that's my plan.
