Sunday day ride?

Posted on
  • Last night Aaron raised the idea of a Sunday ride. I usually go out on my own on Sundays anyway, so if any others want to meet up then sign up here and we can organize something.

  • Last night's sortie fucked my left knee.
Would like to do some Sundays if it's nice weather . It would be good if a route was planned and agreed on and posted in advance with a date especially if i don't have to do it. Maybe take the train out to somewhere or further (if anything exhists out beyond here). Can we have a picnic and an old fashioned gramaphone player and a grouse shoot with air rifles from the recycling centre?

  • 1) I like the idea of taking the train somewhere, but can it be a steam train and can I have waffles in my pickernic basket?
    2) Is Further in Hertfordshire, near Nasty and Ugley?

  • Did you know there is an Ugley Women's Institute......according to the Guardian [and no, i am not Sexist]......nothing to do with a Sunday ride but relates to Ugley......not sure if there is a Nasty women's Instiute...if so my wife would not be in the former but definitely the latter!

  • Yes I've eaten Ugley Women's Institute cake! It is real. Also been a party in Ugley and go ugly drunk.

  • We should do a Nasty ride which includes an Ugley stop over. Sounds beautiful. I've been to Twat in Orkney, which was like finding my spiritual home. We could organize an Ugley Twat time-trial event this summer to raise money for my wallet .

  • sounds good... but seriously... we need to get Ugley.. how far is it Gmaps pedometer guy?

  • 30 miles

  • Don't get Ugley get Nasty.
The road to Ugley is paved with good intent.
The road to Nasty is made out of cement.

  • Won't be riding this Sunday, in case we go for MH on Tuesday.
