My bike was stolen from the ecotort theater in hackney last week. Fixed gear, mavic rims, orange handlebar tape, blue ellis briggs frame (shipley, yorks) with damage near the front chain ring and single shimano front brake. Email lucy@magnificentrevolution.org if you spot it.

Apologies for just dropping in but given the number of bikes you guys see every day i thought it would be worth a shot.....
I had my Cotic Roadrat stolen last weekfrom Bunhill Row very near Old Street and had no luck finding it at Brick Lane market on sunday.
I have no pictures but for those of you who don't know what they look like, see the link below.
http://www.cotic.co.uk/product/bikes/roadrat/flat_bar/zoom/
Mine has deore V-brakes instead of discs and an ultegra crank and rear derailleur (yes, it has gears - sorry). Bontrager race wheels and shimano A530 SPD pedals (flats on one side). It did have a rear rack and SKS race-blades but i suspect it has been stripped of these. I can't imagine there are too many roadrats set up like this knocking around london so if you do see it please give me a call or slap a chain on it(07825 056 363)
Thanks for your time.

could you please give more details of how your bike got stolen ?
A lot of us live in the Hackney area, and this is the 2nd bike that has been stolen from inside a property in the last 2 weeks. Did they take other pricey stuff, or were they only after the bikes? And sorry to hear about your bike, we'll keep eyes peeled.

Just saw 2 guys walking down Old Street with bikes, one of them was completely drunk, and the bike he had was a green SS/Fixed.
Hoping its innocent, but looked well dubious.

regarding how it was stolen: 3.30am tues, my flatmate chased one out of our house - between 17-18, black, short hair, beige clothes =that's all he could see (I'm happy he didn't catch him as this could have been a lot worse...) not sure how planned it was - but they must have known our driveway as we have a black metal gate fencing of 4 houses - a jacket of my flatmate with workshopkeys incl. his businesscards and my bike was the worst, next to that just our paperwork from the house, we found some stuff they droped in the drive-way (really random things: wholepunch, half-empty bottle olive oil, a bottle of vine...
It seems rather random than directly aimed at the bike - the police guess is they are after cash¿ ...
THANK YOU FOR KEEPING YOUR EYES OPEN! -
