A partly successful ride. We did 30 miles through lanes on a perfect Autumn morning, including Ivinghoe Beacon, and I think we proved it was a good place to be out on a bike.
I don't know whether the lack of other riders was affected by the failure of the Metropolitan Line, but I'll try again on Saturday week. Next time I'll check with TfL and post their answer as a reminder.
