    • Peugeot 103 carbolite tubing
    • Mixte frame (made 1984)
    • 54cm (21”) – but can be set-up to ride smaller/shorter with lower saddle and cross-top levers (have got a pair I will sell if wanted).
    • Single speed conversion (ghetto style - still got the 5 sprockets on the rear wheel and double chain ring – have kept all the original components though, so you can easily make it geared again (10 speed)
    • Pretty blue colour with original (what looks like) hand-painted gold box lining on frame. Many paint chips though, and sporadic very light surface rust on things like the chainring and rims (no corrision), but could be scrubbed off without much hassle. No dents.
    • Polo bike/pub bike for your gf?
    • £no idea, Pm me a sensible offer? Prefer to sell it whole, but will relist as parts if lingers.

I bought this 2 weeks ago intending it to be my cheapo hack commuter, but it’s turned out to be a fraction too small to be comfortable, so having replaced the broken things and done a quick/dirty ss conversion its for sale.

    Things I replaced:

    • Brakes levers, brake cables and bar tape (new Tektro levers fitted and cabled by LBS yesterday)
    • Tubes and tyres (2 x new 27 x 11/4” Continental Ultrasports)
    • Chain (new 3/32”)
    • (The stem was also greased and refitted by LBS).
    • I'm also going to take the spoke dish/pie plate and reflectors off it.

The Brooks saddle is not included, but I can put the original Peugeot ladies one back on if wanted. It could definitely benefit from new brake blocks (it’s got the original Peugeot ones at the moment), but otherwise it’s ready to ride.

View/pick up from Herne Hill, or could arrange meet up.

  • How much?

  • Various people have got a series of dibs on this now, so I'll be letting people who have expressed an interest know how it goes. Thanks!

  • Hello,

I am very interested in this bike - you mentioned that it was a little small for you, I am 5'9", do you think it would fit me?

    Manny thanks,
    Polly

  • Sorry Polly, I think it will almost definately be too small. I'm 5ft 8", but have long legs (34"!) so usually need a 56cm road frame, and I guess you would need a similar size.
