• 31t®um like to see a blind test ride though :)

    Yeah, I would too.

I don't see how you'd feel any difference to be fair. It's just buried too deep in the bike... not like new contact points or whatever.

  • Anyone have any experience with Mack hubs?

EDIT just relaised they're the same as gromada?

    what hub rakan??

  • goldtec following Jon's instructions above

  • i did mine the other day, but didn't read that lot.
i had trouble getting the end caps off first, but just hit the axle with a hammer and it came loose. you do have to bang them out as they are quite tight.

  • Yeah have hit it quite a bit but nothings budging.... im a bit scared of hitting it too hard because all that cant be good for the wheel...

  • screw the axle bolts in a bit too, i used them instead of hitting the alu axle. don't be shy. support it up on books with enough room for the bearings to come out the bottom.

  • yeah, need a decent whack but then they pop out :)

  • I just got a pair of raw silver unetched Goldtech hubs in the post after I asked them if it was possible.

They are now considering regularly making them in silver in addition to pewter and black.

  • they will sell loads of those.

  • pewter or black + caustic soda + polish = shiny silver

  • weren't the original ones silver? RPMs old old ones look much more silver that pewter.

  • pewter or black + caustic soda + polish = shiny silver

or just ask them for silver

  • less work??

    faded pewter

  • or just ask them for silver
they have previously said that they wouldn't do them and from above they are not etched with goldtec

  • un-etched is nicer

  • murtle i need to give you my forks to get chromed!

  • if i get them, they are going on my bike

  • if i get them, they are going on my bike
chrome fork would look shit on your bike! you'd need to get the frame painted black.
