    feet on seats

    Discussion opened by: tarn
It seems that more and more train travellers are putting their feet up on the opposite seat during their journey. Obviously this can't happen in rush hour - anyone who tried it would be made to move them sharpish - but off-peak it's very common.

Am I the only one who thinks it's a dirty selfish habit? It's particularly annoying when somebody puts their feet up on the seat next to me. I think that is very rude but if I say so they look at me as though I were crazy!

I have to say I am guilty of putting feet up on the seats occasionally. I think you have to see the issue from the other side. I have a brand new pair of Nike Air Max Moto+. These advanced shoes cost a pretty penny and my aim is to keep them as clean as possible during my journey to college to study for a diploma in media culture and communication. With all due respect to yourself the reason I put my shoes up on the seat is meerly to keep them clean. Quite often there are kebab wrappers and various rubbish on the floor. When I have a job and can afford some proper nice brogues I will not change.
