Cyclists, on average, only get wet 12 times a year in London?

This applies to the average commuter and the curious fact that it doesn't seem to rain that much during commuting hours. As a fairly average commuter the last few years I kept a rough count and astonishingly came close to that figure. Go figure.
Apparently, London is usually the second-driest place in the country, only beaten to the top spot by the Essex/Suffolk borders, Colchester/Ipswich area, I think. But then that may just be more stats for you ...
