Could potentially be well up for this...
How much room for manoeuvre is there on the design? If I wanted to rip off a Kate Moross drawing for example without having to call in favours and get an actual one...

I always liked these Phil Frost painted Brooklyn park bikes...
Phil Frost 1
Phil Frost 2
This kind of thing takes me back to the early days of mountain biking in the uk when builders like Dave Yates used to have little cartoon characters painted all along their frame tubes....back when there weren't so many parts around and painting was the best way to customise your bike. -

I was trying to remember his name. Kept coming up with Ben Burt. Ha.
I used to obsessively sketch Mint all the time at school. -

this is what i like about the sublimated powdercoating technique. you can get any image transfer onto plastic film, which is then applied to frame and get highly durable finish!

Rep'd for bringing a smile to my face. -

I have the Mint sauce booklet from 1997ish if you want to smile a bit more - Jo Burt was a nutter what with all those crazy ramblings going round the edge of the frames!

I remember that booklet and love mint because of the ramblings around the page. Happy days.

If you want to rip off that particular painting you should be more than capable of doing it yourself mate, it's not too complicated and if you just take your time with it then you should do a rather tidy job of it without having to pay more for it or ask an artist to copy someone elses work (which they can be very angsty about) ;)

short answer - yes, I'd be up for this, have frame waiting for something like this!

For all those that love Mint sauce check
http://www.thisiswhy.co.uk/All the back catalogue of Joe's work.... Years of remembering the good old days when MBUK was actually reradable and not aimed at 14 year olds and calling everyone on anything other than a 10 inch travel DH bike, Dirt Jump bike, Freeride bike a gay... (or was it just I was 14 then and I wanted to be Steve Peat?).

Tommid, Prav already put that link up but I totally agree with you on the way that MBUK went. I still remember when it had maps and cross country route write ups in the pages between the adverts and frequent articles on the 2 martins.

Ha, no I wasn't planning on something quite as specific as this - just using the image as an example of something I might be interested in.
But when I get a bit of time I may well consider a DIY job. -

I have spoken to Anna the artist, she is keen to charge around £25 an hour (4 hours spent to do mine)

Bit of a Johnny Come Lately but some damn fine memories! Nice work.

you managed to get no paint on your records!
;)
I have a friend (Who is currently away until mid November) has done some drawing on my stripped frame. I wonder if there will be any interest from here, maybe I can ask her to do a limited amount (10 frames total) for LFGSS.
Its simple, I spray a primer on your frame, sand down, let her paint, spray clear coats.
Have a look at the first attempt.
