While I'm fairly anti-capitalist, I'm way more anti-hippy and I think that this place is going to crawling with them. Large groups of white people with dreadlocks are scary, but not in a halloween way.

  • Fortunately I'll be in Paris, and not be expected to partake in this inane american celebration of whatever it is!

It is about free candy, that should be right up your road sir.

  • there is a route that we did last year taking into 5 of 7 maincemetary's in london, which was pretty good.

  • or how about a ride out proper east in to essex. visit the oldest wooden church in the world.

  • Nice idea jonny. Where is this church, mate?
    [finds matches and petrol can]

  • church of st. andrew, greensted near chipping ongar skully - oldest standing wooden structure in europe

  • Shit, I grew up in Ongar! Watch yourself round there, limited gene pool. 'You got a pretty mouth boy...'

  • There is an Alleycat going on this night for all that are interested... as well as a party at an undisclosed location down Shacklewell Lane

  • That location is surely pretty well known?

  • ..only if you are in the know..

  • Can someone PM me the details? I said I'd take my gf on her shopper to an alleycat, should be fun!

  • I've never been in the know before :-)

I work in Canary Wharf and that place is like a Orwellian state. If that party lasts for more than 10 minutes before onsight security shuts it down i'll be suprised!

    • Im sure people in canary wharf are some who immune to the credit crunch as the Mont Blanc store still does a roaring trade!
  • @tom...dont worry i am no hippy lover, just believe in my rights to protest peacefully, right to party, right to travel in groups and right to silence ect.this will be peacefull event put together by people who have fought for these rights with there own liberty @ stake.
if you dont try and stand up and have fun what is left????
anyway if anyone fancies cycling about to check it out should be fun.

I work there too, no chance! About 10 years ago there was a big skateboard thing there, got shut down pretty quick.

Words mean nothing when your facing the Canary Wharf security. I've seen the stereotypical Japanese tourist asked to stop filming because he was a security risk. Canary Wharf is a law unto itself.

    Good Luck though.

  • The next Critical Mass is on Halloween.

    Should be interesting.

    my life, pretty much.
