If you can make it to Brick Lane it's definitely worth it for the polo, usually going on til late afternoon so it may finish too early for you.

if you are traveling by train good luck bringing your bike, it is a fucking pain.
-

it's a pain on the train, but might be good to get about london a bit.

Well, the wedding is somewhere up essex way, relatives in mile end, and staying with a friend in bethnal green.
Its looking trickier to bring my bike, im actually getting a lift down would have to convince them to let me strap a bike rack to their car!
For some reason i really want to just ride around london, as Ive not done so before. Would anyone consider lending me a beater? Doesnt have to be fixed? Id be happy to reciprocate, for anyone in general who might end up in Birmingham. (you dont have to have lent me a bike)

I remember when I first moved down here. I bought an A to Z and went all over the place, great fun, and the best way to see the sights. Of course, sight-seeing while riding is also a very efficient way to get run over.

Don't bring your bike - London's shit. It's literally EXACTLY like this:

And I literally never use the word "literally" so you must know I mean business.

The city is quiet on weekends and has some funny/interesting sites (if you didn't want to hit up traffic massive). ie. last night the Blues Brothers car, complete with massive speaker on the roof playing the tunes, drove past. I saw the Queen today as well.

Ask illy. Her and Prince Philip (current park owner or something?) were driving through Windsor park today.
As for last night's blues brothers car.. well, I was sober since I couldn't find a feckin' pub.

Hello, sorry to post a thread of little intellectual or pun-value..
Basically, im going to be im visiting London on Sunday (for a wedding of all things!) and sticking about on Monday too.
Was wondering whether it would be worth bringing my bike, purely for the experience of "riding about in london" ?
I know that questions pretty much like " what bike would I like best?" So think of it more as:
Is anyone up for a ride around - hangin out during monday daytime? Also, Id quite fancy a go at bike polo if anyones playing and doest mind a newbie.
Cheers.
