  • Yep it can be want to get the rear stays done though the whole bike gets costly, plus the brazing stands out....don't personally like that. Don't think it needs clear coating. Could not bother finishing the frame, tubes come kind of black colour..would look like shit, never get nicked, last forever, V.nice frame incognito?

Not a chance of that, this will be a 'best' bike if there is ever such a thing.. my best bike is the one I always want to ride!

  • ^ Green is beaut x

@ Wibble. That Moyer is well bum.

  • copper plate it that beautiful reddy orange, plus the joys of it changing colours thru green as it patinates

  • I'm glad you're keeping that, marie.

    Me too. It's a beauty.

  • That green frame is fuckin gorgeous.

  • I'm considering getting a BJ at the moment - opinons on matte black - is it likely to scuff / show marks worse than a standard gloss enable?

  • go for it

It's a 5/6 week wait, you don't fancy sorting me out in the mean time?

Wait until you've been married as long as I have - it's a damn sight longer than six weeks between BJs...
    ;-(

  • Ouch.

  • its all about the creamy bobs

  • hell yes.

  • its all about the creamy blobs

    fixed

  • ^Wipes tear of nostalgia from eye

  • I got the call from 'Bob' today... frame ready for picking up. I've been waiting since March 13 for mine, so long in fact that the novetly has worn off! Hopefully when I see it I'll get enthused again but to be honest I've been getting on quite well with my Fuji Track (which cost less than half the price of the Bob frame alone)

someone said this; *"it like drinking decaf forever and then suddenly trying real coffee" *on the whole fixed gear business.

methink that saying will go well on the transition from the Fuji to the Bob, The Fuji ride and feel great to you, but once you rode the Bob Jackson, you end up realising that the ride of the Fuji is pretty run-of-the-mill.

  • its only gonna get nicked anyway.. dont get too excited

  • i am off to bobs now to pick my condor up in a shiny new green. yaaayeee!

Did you go for metallic or flamboyant in the end.

I'm really starting to get into the flamboyant finish. It looks much like a gloss finish untill the light strikes it at a certain angle, and the metallic undercoat shines through.

  • But pricier than a 'happy finish' no doubt...

  • Yellow with vintage white stripes on the seat tube!!

  • Does anyone know the green bike is and what color it was?...
