If you wish- would we have to cycle to the ring and then settle it like Gentlemen?
No, we'd have to cycle into the ring (how you get through the ropes will denote your extra style points awarded by a panel of judges) then glove up and duke it out all the while maintaining a no-handed trackstand and slaughtering as many puppies as possible. The loser has to then ceremonially destroy their most treasured bike (a more financially disturbing prospect for you than me quite possibly) using nothing but their battered and bloodied face.
oh, and the 50 notes should be a good incentive.

you could save time by just giving me the £50 now?

How do you know I'm not the light-heavyweight cycle-rope-hopping-boxing-puppy-slaying-trackstanding champion of Northern Ireland? Just here to take the GB title.

pot chaser!

To be fair when I started this thread my thoughts were these:
-We each train individually
-Every month we compete to see where we are against one another
-At the end we compete together for the potI thought that this would get around the geographical separation that is inevitable.
However- the benefit of training together cannot be ignored, and I have been (very pleasantly) surprised by the number of people willing to do so.
Plus Aaron wanting to fight me- but we can do that separately to this.So- a triathlon is not set as the final competition, for one I loathe running, so would prefer something else. The Sussex tri was convenient because of the date.
It would mean that we could do something similar to this though:
Monday: South Drinks
Tuesday: South East Drinks
Wednesday: Swim 1,500 metres
Thursday; Run 10K
Friday: John Snow
Saturday: 25 miles on the bike
Sunday: 50 Miles on the bikeRepeat.
Thoughts?
(BTW pot is £250 so far....)

It was a topic of heated discussion at South drinks last night.
Essentially we are trying to settle on the end event, and the triathlon idea has been received rather badly by people who don't like swimming or running- which to be fair includes me as far as running goes. It's still alive, we just need to agree on what we are going to do!

haha yeah.. fuck ya swimming (do enough of that on the bike ;))

80 laps of Richmond Park? Not a bad afternoon's training.
If it's not a canal Hippy won't swim in it...
