Vice Student guide

I don't mind what people like. If you enjoy early Genesis, enjoy it. My objection is to people who feign enjoyment of music or other culture, whether it be opera or Pink Floyd simply because they feel they ought to and in so doing close their ears and their minds to other things that wuld actually inspire them.

I have to admit i thought i liked the Floyd when i was a yoot, just to fit in. The rest were the same - one mans hippy parents had a strong grip. But being exposed to it back then has helped me love it more.
when i watched Crystal Voyager a few years after that i was blown sideways. it still comes on my CD player now. music of that scale is a love affair that changes.

Those that feign their passion will grow up and forget that music was there because there is no strong link. Their kids will be told of a scene whilst their parents check wikipedia on their 5th genreation iphones to find out what the music of the day was.
