  • I see what your all saying about sitting in the filter lane, and I'm aware of the risk of lorries turning left across me. I wait behind them and don't filter up their inside, I don't think it's quite such a problem if a car beside me wants to turn left I let them ahead of me and then move off, if a car comes from behind and tries to turn left across me he gets a mouthful and my cleat down his paintwork if I have time.

    I still think it's a too much to expect those in front of you at lights to filter all the way across a 3 lane ASL. What happens if you approach one and the whole ASL is already full all the way across, you'd wait in the filter lane, so what's the difference?

    This morning for example, I was in the middle of an ASL on Embankment, the lights change, the lorry on my left moves off and out accelerates me and I[m left in the middle of the traffic passing me on both sides. What's the best solution? Answers on a postcard to "No I can't cycle faster to out accelerate them!"
