i would contact wiggle first ass that is where you bought it from[i assume]...as long as you have your receipt and it is within the warranty period [April so yes to that question] and you have not 'violated' the terms of the warranty....you should be entitled to a full refund....however..they will probably want you to send it back to them for checking....but they may repair it and i have a sneaking feeling that after a few months they have the choice of options.....so perhaps you might check with your council's consumer advice office or the Citizens' Advice Bureaux..But when you talk to Wiggle be friendly....till they get stroppy!....hope this helps

Freudian slip?
Cheers for the advice, I don't think I'll take it as far as my Citizens' Advice Bureaux, hopeflly I can at least get an exchange so I can flog 'em on eBay.
SPD-SLs feel soo much better.

You need to contact 2Pure which is the UK supplier for Crank Bros pedals.

need new bearings, they are small and crap.

Get a refund. Buy any other clipless pedals.

Are these standard Eggbeaters? Or Smarty/other variant? I'd contact Crank Brothers directly if I were you. I had to and found them to be very helpful. Customer service contact link is on their site. Sorry, too lazy to pull it up :p

Cheapest standard beaters yeah. The MXR model I believe.
Thanks for the info guys

Not strictly true - in the UK your warranty is with the retailer, rather than manufacturer or distributer.

I had a problem with a pair of Triple Ti ones, wrote to Crank Bros in the States and they suggested me to contact 2Pure.

2pure (and any distributor) can and may sort it for you but are well within their rights to tell you to sort it out with the retailer.
You should always goto the retailer first as matt above said that's who should sort it out for you -

Got them, fucking awesome they are.

just like to add that exactly the same thing has happened to me. Cheap eggbeaters' bearing seem to be bollocks.

Ive got a pair of look 4x4 pedals, which are basically stainless steel spindle eggbeaters with look branding. They've survived all sorts of abuse and still run smooth. If you ask me the MXR eggbeaters were a mistake by crank bros, who were probably trying to compete with Shimanos better value MTB pedals. They have put a question mark beside an otherwise quality brand.

I have a set of the original stainless eggbeater and they have been really good, but the bearing are poor, keep thinking of trying to find marine grade ones. Anyone know a supplier?

Just FYI - Wiggle refunded me the pedals.
I've only had these pedals since April and now the left hand shaft just doesn't want to rotate on the axle. I have no idea what's wrong, I assume the tiny (grr) bearings must have got lodged (somehow) and are preventing it rotate.
I can't be bothered to take it apart and have a look because TBH, I'd probably cock it up somehow. I still have the box and receipt (wiggle). Should I contact Wiggle first, or Crank Bros. directly? I'd prefer a refund/exchange for SPD-SL pedals as I've now gotten used to riding clipless.
Any advice, regarding dealing with wiggle/crank bros?
P.S while on the subject of pedals and such. Anybody have any experience with these?:
