I read that the catalogue pics mirrored what bits the team was using at the time, but they often came supplied as framesets only and could be specced by the buyer - hence my non-campag restoration..

Ah I see. Mine has old sugino GS and suntour on it. Nice though but not enough to save it! Weimann brakeset too which aint great.
I reckon Shimano 600 would work a treat. Or even complete Suntour set.
