Morning, got a bit of a problem with the cranks i have. They have sheared threading where the pedals would go and as a result i either can't get the pedals on at all or they go on a little way but completely wonky. Went to bikefix and they reckon they need a helicoil which will cost £80 for both crank arms! Money i don't have.
The guy in Londonfields bikes reckons i could buy a new set of cranks but i wouldn't be able to buy new ones as new track cranks are offset and my old Nerval ones aren't. Are all old track cranks not offset and does anyone have any laying about that i could buy cheaply? Any advice greatly appreciated!
